Well that’s what one Swedish high tech “Epicentre” office block is offering its workers.
Hannes Sjoblad “points” out the benefits of not having to remember passwords and pin numbers and later on “swiping your hand” at the staff canteen to buy lunch.
Imagine not having to always borrow ten bucks off your mate at lunch time ‘coz you forgot ya wallet again!
You could also happily give security guy the finger, as you drive thru the checkpoint into work each morning….and he’d smile and wave back at you!
Maybe that little device will open the front door for you automatically, instead trying to find your ID badge at the bottom of your bag under your lunch box and car keys.
Hey, no more passwords for your computer, your daily task organiser has already fired up since it detected you from 600 meters away.
Though what happens when you sneak the newspaper into the washroom for your 15 min catch up and an alarm goes off at I.T Headquarters letting them know that you’ve been in there a long time!
Hey, your local city council has been inserting silicone chips into peoples pet moggies and pooches for years now, so why not you?
So next time you ask for minimum chips at your local Fish and Chippery, have a ponder about that little RFID chip idea, and what it’s all about…hmmmmn!?
