We are currently seeking a Road Freight Export Operator for our client based in Essex, who specialise in Freight Forwarding.
Your role as the Road Freight Export Operator is to arrange the transport of freight from start-to-finish, ensuring all export documentation & customs are prepared and all consignments are correctly processed.
Other responsibilities of the Road Freight Export Operator:
Ensure all collections and deliveries are carried out as per instructions.
Liaise with customers to make and take job bookings.
Negotiate rates with partners and hauliers.
Assist with any other areas within the business when required.
You will be liaising with clients, hauliers and overseas agents via telephone and email, so having excellent communications skills, and a good telephone manner are good attributes for this role.
The successful Road Freight Export Operator will have previous experience working as a Road Freight Operator / Road Freight Clerk / Road Freight Coordinator within the Freight Forwarding industry.
You will also need to have strong knowledge of Export procedures and a good understanding of Export groupage FTL and LTL planning.
