Our client is a freight and logistics company, and they are currently looking for an Air & Sea Operations Coordinator, to set up a new air and sea department at their office in Folkestone. Salary offered for the successful Air & Sea Operations Coordinator is £25-40k depending on experience.
We are looking to speak to candidates who have good knowledge of both modes of transport and sub-contractors, good knowledge of customs procedures and bills of lading, good attention to detail and an understanding of profit / margins.
Responsibilities of the Air & Sea Operations Coordinator:
Cultivate and grow existing client portfolios.
Cultivate subcontractors.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of each of the client’s requirements, calculating and negotiating air and sea spot quotations.
Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.
