Our client, a Transport and Logistics company are seeking an AOG Operator for their team based in Berkshire on the night shift.
The role of the AOG Operator is to monitor and track the operational status of the company’s aircraft fleet on a continuous basis, ensuring immediate attention to any AOG situations that occur during the night shift.
You will provide customers with tailored supply chain solutions to support the aerospace industry, ensuring they are given timely updates throughout.
Responsibilities of the AOG Operator:
Liaise with internal stakeholders such as flight crews, maintenance technicians, and ground support staff to produce solutions for all AOG incidents.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of AOG incidents, such as shipping documentation, documentation of repairs, costs, and other relevant details.
Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to expedite the procurement of necessary parts, equipment, and technical support.
Produce customer quotes.
Coordinate with the Maintenance and Engineering department, overseeing the maintenance schedules and ensuring all routine inspections and repairs are complete on time.
Analyse all AOG incidents to identify root causes and suggest measures to help prevent or minimize future occurrences.
The successful AOG Operator will have previous experience working in AOG management, or in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry.
Experience required of the AOG Operator:
In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proven experience working within a AOG role.
