Business Development Manager – Essex (England)

Our client, a successful Freight Forwarder, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in Essex, to manage the full 360 on boarding process and manage assigned Key Accounts. In return, you’ll receive a salary of up to 49K DOE with a bonus scheme in place as well as many other great benefits.

The successful Business Development Manager will have extensive knowledge of Air / Sea Freight as well as good time-management skill with the ability to organise and strong selling skills (negotiation, persuasion).

We’re keen to speak with applicants who are Passionate about sales and enjoys working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Business Development Manager Duties:

Build and retain your own book of business.
Achieve mutually agreed annual gross profit KPI
Be the face of New assigned marketing campaigns
Generate appointments and new opportunities from assigned leads.
Report to the UK Sales Manager with weekly and monthly progress reports

Skills/Experience required for a Business Development Manager:

Computer literate – familiar with CargoWise, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, etc.
Good numeracy skills
A personable and confident individual.
Be self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
