Our client, a leading shipping company is seeking a Credit Control and Cashier Clerk for their office based in Romford.
As the Credit Controller, you will enter customer payments onto the company database, allocate payments for credit and non-credit customers, and post payments into in-house system,
The successful Credit Control and Cashier Clerk will have at least 1-2 years’ credit control experience, an understanding of the Shipping industry, and accounting or finance related qualifications.
Credit Control and Cashier Clerk Duties:
Agree Contra Payments
Assist with month end close process
Run cash reports for unallocated payments
Send out statements for non-credit
Provide Sales Ledger reports
Assist on Audit proof of payments
Chase non-credit customers
Skills required of the Credit Control and Cashier Clerk:
Intermediate Excel Skills
Must have good understanding of double entry
Must be able to find specific data from large volumes of data
Must chase debt by phone, email and post to ensure our terms are adhered to
