Our client provides highly tailored and bespoke logistics services, and they are currently looking for a Customs Clerk to join their team in Chesterfield. Salary offered for this role is £25k.
Previous experience is essential for this role, along with a good understanding of Customs legal requirements and the impact of incorrect information and/or Customs declarations.
Responsibilities of the Customs Clerk:
Prepare documentation for import customs clearance
Process and monitor import clearances
Liaising with customers and consignees
Liaise with Customs Authorises and Port Health
Follow-up with customers and consignees
Requirements for the Customs Clerk role:
Customs clearance experience
Good knowledge of the various customs procedures
Good knowledge of Destin8, CNS and MultiFreight
Good knowledge of Microsoft office, including Excel and databases
Strong communications and organisational skills
Strong work ethics with focus on attention to detail and accuracy
Team player and self-driven with a positive attitude
