Export Administrator – Suffolk (England)

Export Administrator – VR/22113

Our client, experts in UK, European and International logistics, transport and freight, is looking for an Export Administrator to join their busy team in Felixstowe.

Main purpose of the role:

Assisting with Export FCL/LCL/ deep & short sea, European trailer and Airfreight operations. Booking with carriers, customs clearance, liaising with customers and agents, storage control, raising all shipping documentation and relevant invoices, obtaining rates, checking purchase invoices and assisting other departments and colleagues where necessary.

Duties of the Export Administrator:

  • Answer telephone
  • Filing of e-mails and documents in Cargowise system
  • Obtain sea freight rates
  • Book deep and short sea shipments with shipping lines
  • Input Export/Import group age bookings on Cargowise system
  • Input VGM into Destin8 and CNS
  • Obtain air freight rates
  • Book airfreight
  • Container and airfreight tracking
  • Obtain trailer rates
  • Book Export/Import trailer movements
  • Email collection / delivery instructions and confirmations
  • Raise CMR’s
  • Raise and email certificates of shipment
  • Monitor trailer movements and advise of delays
  • Raise EUR1’s and Certificate of Origin’s with local chamber
  • Customs clearances through Cargowise system which links to CHIEF
  • Raising TI documents and RRO request
  • Update storage spreadsheets
  • Arrange warehouse deliveries in and out
  • Follow job from start to finish
  • Raise customer invoices
  • Input and pass purchase invoices for payment
  • Update AEO / send letters to suppliers / update spreadsheets
  • Set up credit/supplier accounts in Cargowise, update spreadsheets
  • Arrange courier collections
  • General related ad hoc duties
  • Cover for other staff members and other departments

Requirements for the Export Administrator role:

Some experience would be an advantage, but they are willing to train someone with less experience.

In return, you will receive a salary of £20-30k depending on experience, plus company benefits.
