A new opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Manager to join our client-based London, who are one of the finest international Removal companies in the industry.
The role of the Fleet Manager is to act as the main point of contact for all issues regarding fleet, ensuring the company’s vehicles are operating in accordance with legislation and regulations.
You will overs driver hour records and tachographs, carry our weekly vehicle inspections and ensure they are properly recorded.
You will be working alongside the Operations Manager to help develop strategies for improved cost efficiency.
Main duties of the Fleet Manager:
Negotiate rates with suppliers.
Resolve any issues with the drivers promptly.
Ensure communication is maintained with both internal and external stakeholders regarding operational matters.
Liaise with service providers to ensure repair and maintenance programme is completed.
Maintain accurate records of vehicles, ensuring all paperwork is uploaded to the internal system files for audit.
Ensure all drivers receive relevant training.
Source new vehicles and deal with reselling or disposal of old Company fleet.
The successful Fleet Manager will have proven experience managing fleet, including forklifts.
You must have an International Operators license as well as a CPC qualification.
Experience required:
Experience in the transport or removals industry.
Knowledge of driver hours and working times.
Good IT skills – strong knowledge of MS Office.
Strong knowledge of road transport law and legislation.
