Our client is a large privately-owned logistics and global trade management provider, and they are currently looking for a Freight Sales Administrator to join their team in Tilbury, Essex. You will be required to manage a portfolio of established clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, the retention of those customers & developing additional business opportunities with them, primarily through a formal telephone based client contact strategy. You will also manage a pipeline of potential clients which will be given to you to try and secure new business opportunities.
As a Freight Sales Administrator, you will be self-motivated, able to work from your own initiative, be a team player, confident, proactive and possess excellent planning and organisational skills. To be considered for this role, you must have previous Sales experience within a similar role.
The successful Freight Sales Administrator will receive a salary depending on skills and experience.
Duties of the Freight Sales Administrator:
- Achieve agreed service targets through a client contact strategy by telephone and e-mail.
- Provide effective support, advice & service to customers including pricing, problem solving & up selling.
- Ensure all client quotations are followed through to completion, win or loss.
- Provide business & administrative support to the appropriate CDM Managers.
- Update & maintain client records held on company systems for designated client portfolio in both Multifreight and CRM system.
- Provide clerical support for the commercial team when requested.
- Assist where required on promotional and corporate activities as directed by Management.
- Achieve a minimum number of client contacts via telephone, per week, as directed by management.
- Provide follow up calls and ensure that all information is captured in the Global CRM system.
