Our client offer a diverse range of dynamic freight, freight forwarding and supply chain services, and they are currently looking for an Import Clerk for their Sea Freight team in Liverpool. They are offering the successful Import Clerk a salary of up to £35k depending on experience.
As the Import Clerk, you will be liaising with overseas agents, customers and hauliers as well as planning/arranging deliveries and creating files both manually and on the computer system.
Experienced Import Clerk required for our freight services Client, who offer transport solutions across the UK and internationally, via road, sea and air. You’ll be dealing with companies worldwide, liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers, handling all aspects of imports from start to finish and everything in between, including charging files and processing purchase invoices. This vacancy is based in Liverpool and is offered on a full-time permanent basis, in return for a salary of up to £35k for the right person.
We’re keen to speak to enthusiastic people who experience working as an Import Clerk or with customs entry knowledge from a logistics/freight background. Experienced Import Clerks are currently in very high demand.
Successful Import Clerks have a good operational know-how of import procedures, excellent customer service skills and commercial sense. You’ll be a proficient communicator; in person, on the phone and in writing.
Duties of the Import Clerk:
Receiving pre-alerts from overseas agents
Advising customers of arrival of cargo into the UK
Planning loads and sending load lists to agents
Checking manifests once received
Receiving and checking relevant import documentation and passing on to shipping lines
