Our client, who specialise in Freight Forwarding through multimodal services, are currently seeking a Junior Operations Administrator for their team based in Kent.
As the Junior Operations Administrator, you will be supporting the operations department in managing and coordinating freight forwarding activities.
You will also assist in handling customer inquiries and providing timely updates regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and any other relevant information.
Main duties of the Junior Operations Administrator:
Assist with the management of accurate documentation related to shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, customs documentation, and other relevant records.
Book EU Groupage and express consignments.
Negotiate rates with suppliers.
Create jobs in the company system.
Provide quotes for clients, ensuring they are followed up promptly.
Liaise with both UK and overseas agents on a daily basis.
Coordinate with the accounts department with any queries regarding sales or cost.
The successful Junior Operations Administrator will have a minimum of 1 years’ Office and Admin experience.
Having previous experience working within the Freight or Logistics industry would be an advantage.
Experience required of the Junior Operations Administrator:
Must have a minimum GSCE Grade of 5 and above in Maths & English
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
