Our client offers quality and reliable global freight forwarding services, and they are currently looking to recruit an Irish Operational Clerk for their team in West Yorkshire, ideally with a few years operational experience. With the right experience, confidence and a positive attitude, you will have the opportunity to develop within a progressive company who are well established within the freight forwarding industry.
As the Irish Operational Clerk, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge with processing customs clearances, and be familiar with Chief, CDS and the new GVMS system. Whilst you will be working as part of a team, the ability to manage your own workload would be preferable. Ideally, you will also have a good understanding of Irish operations, and you must also be able to deal with customers and suppliers in a clear and concise manner, and be competent using computer systems.
Job Spec for the Irish Operational Clerk:
Liaising with customers re Irish shipment requirements and maintaining customer service
Uploading all relevant information onto customs systems to produce customs entries
Familiar with Chief, CDS and GVMS systems
Preparing quotations for customers
Liaising with local suppliers and Irish agents controlling shipments door to door
Invoicing of jobs
General knowledge of trailer operational procedures
Computer operating systems skills required
