Removals Sales Consultant – London (England)

Removals Sales Consultant – London – Neg plus bonus – VR/21798

A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and progressive removals company as a Sales Consultant.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and will putting costings together for Residential, International and European shipments.

Main Duties of the Removals Sales Consultant:

  • Identify and Maximise opportunities to sell key services such as storage and value protection through a proactive approach and upselling 3rd party services
  • Build long term relationships with new / existing clients and suppliers
  • Pay attention to competitors and their activities within the industry
  • Handling enquiries and turning them into sales opportunities through focussed questions and good listening skills
  • Quotation Production – input data accurately into Moveware
  • Obtain multiple Rates from suppliers seeking a quality supplier at the best price
  • Price in accordance with availability, move date, insurance value, competition and client expectations
  • Refer to Sales Manager for guidance to ensure in line with company policy
  • Manage existing storage clients requests for delivery from store
  • Follow up all quotations/enquiries – co-ordinate daily follow up process through diary actions on Moveware and daily monitoring
  • Negotiate price with potential clients to secure most profitable outcome
  • Ensure all administration relating to sales is completed and recorded on Moveware.
  • Communicate with and keep informed all teams of the progress of a move through constant and accurate updating of Moveware.
  • Book the move with Operations via Moveware and hand over the move to Move co-ordination team
  • Assist move co-ordination team with client/sales/pricing enquiries should they arise during their move

Experience/Skills required for the Removals Sales Consultant:

  • Working knowledge of EU, Worldwide and UK moving practices
  • Strong sales and negotiating skills
  • Excellent people skills and intuitive to customer needs
  • Accuracy with figures for costing, pricing and data entry
  • Excellent communication, administration and time management skills
  • Experience of dealing with clients over the telephone, email and face to face
  • Good IT abilities – including MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to manage and prioritise jobs
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail and a professional mind-set
