Our client, a fast growing removals and storage company based in Middlesex, is currently looking to recruit a Removals Warehouse Supervisor. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that can offer a career within the Removals industry.
As the Removals Warehouse Supervisor, you will be assisting the management of the warehouse, stock management and their containerised storage. You will also be part of the operations leadership team and we are looking for leadership qualities to support other areas of operations as and when necessary.
We are keen to speak with self-motivated, driven and passionate individuals, who can identify opportunities for improving the current way of managing the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in warehouse supervision, valid and current Reach Forklift license – At least 6 months experience within the last 2 years, working up to 10 meters high is essential to the role. Also, experience in the UK Removals market a bonus is ideal but not a requirement.
Removals Warehouse Supervisor duties:
Update of storage container availability using our storage software
Forklift work – as designated by the Warehouse Operations Manager – The role is a 60/40 split between Forklift truck work to warehouse admin
Assisting Warehouse Management / Health & Safety – keeping warehouses & yards clean and tidy as well as Assisting the Warehouse Operations Manager with agreed H&S duties (correct PPE, safety procedures are all followed etc.)
Dealing with monthly Stock Audits of packing materials and dealing with quarterly audits of storage clients, including items held in ‘loose’ storage
Other Operations support;
Provide leadership to operations team when they come to Warehouse to collect vehicles and materials
Where required, supporting Removals crews on jobs, where necessary
Experience required for a Removals Warehouse Supervisor:
Supervisory experience in warehousing
Forklift licence
Excellent English
Flexibility, in order to respond to changing business needs
Willingness to engage, learn and share best practice across the team and organization
Full driving license (desirable but not essential).
A DBS check will be required prior to commencing work.
