Our client is an international logistics company, specialised in international, 3rd-party and freight forwarding business, and they are currently looking for a Trade Lane Development Assistant to join their team in Chelmsford, Essex.
We are keen to speak with applicants who have strong business and commercial awareness along with Trade Lane specific trade expertise and excellent communication skills as you will be developing new customers; up sell and cross sell to existing customers.
Duties of the Trade Lane Assistant:
To ensure all trade related activities are optimised for operational performance excellence.
To ensure excellent trade related customer services.
Reporting will be required in terms of creation and monitoring of volume development and space / allocation management.
To ensure trade are reaching and exceeding Yield / GP / Volume budget targets.
Work with Sales to seek out new business opportunities and growth within existing business.
Capacity Management and planning with Carriers.
Procuring competitive pricing and services.
Data Management though Reports and Dashboards and analysing results.
Other Skills Required for the Ocean Trade Lane Assistant:
Strong Team Player.
Strong effective communication and influencing skills.
Good MS Office skills essential.
Strong business and commercial acumen.
