Our client, an international freight forwarder, are looking for a Trainee Export Operations Clerk to join their growing team in Basildon, Essex.
As the Export Clerk, you will be working on a very busy Export desk, and will have some experience in a similar role. You will be learning to handle Exports and Customs Declarations as well as knowledge of incoterms.
Duties of the Export Clerk:
Communication with clients, shipping lines and overseas offices / agents
High volumes of data entry on in-house IT systems
Arranging FCL / LCL loading plans / manifests / bookings & customs processes
Raising & passing invoices
Dealing with warehouse operatives
Skills & Qualifications required for the Export Clerk:
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload
Have commercial awareness
